Real Forio, here's the week of "prestigious" friendlies.

Real Forio, here's the week of "prestigious" friendlies.

Real Forio is ready to return to the field after a brief break granted by the coaching staff. Coach Carlo Sanchez's team completed the first part of their preparations last Wednesday, putting in weeks of intense work, including athletic sessions and tactical drills.

This initial cycle laid the groundwork for the new season and, according to the staff, has already shown the first encouraging signs. Before enjoying a few days off, the group enjoyed a moment of togetherness that marked an important milestone in their journey: the green-and-whites anticipated the Ferragosto holiday with a special evening at Molo 11, hosted by owner Ciro Piro.

There, amidst good food, smiles, and the unmistakable Forian sunset as a backdrop, managers, players, and staff found an opportunity to strengthen the human connection that accompanies the daily work on the field. Because football, as we know, isn't just about routines and training, but also about relationships: and it's precisely from these evenings that the trust and unity that prove crucial in the most challenging moments of a season are born.

Training is scheduled to resume today, Monday, August 18th, at the "San Leonardo" training center in Panza, with an afternoon session that will officially kick off the second phase of preparation. Coach Sanchez will reunite with his players confident they have a motivated and growing group. Last Saturday, before the break, the green-and-whites faced their second test of the season: a friendly match that featured several young players from the Under-19 squad, especially in the second half.

The experiment yielded positive results, confirming the value and freshness of the new recruits and, at the same time, offering the coach the opportunity to evaluate more options ahead of upcoming matches. The game flowed more fluidly than in the first test, the offensive mechanisms began to click, and the chemistry between the departments improved. It's no coincidence that Sanchez expressed satisfaction with the response: Real Forio is gradually finding the right rhythm, and the team appears to be consistently assimilating the tactical instructions. It's still too early to draw definitive conclusions, but the process appears to be well underway, and enthusiasm in the locker room remains high.

The upcoming week promises to be a busy one: the Biancoverde management, in consultation with the staff, is planning two new friendlies that will allow the team to compete against top-tier opponents. On Wednesday, the team travels to the mainland to face Equipe Campania, while on Saturday, the Turks are expected to travel to Torre Annunziata to face Savoia, a historic Serie D team in Group I. These two tough tests will be an important test of fitness, tactical organization, and ability to hold the field.

Meanwhile, anticipation is building for the start of the official season. Real Forio will compete in the group stage of the Coppa Italia Dilettanti: the schedule includes a bye-week before the opening match, with the opening fixture set for August 27th away against Sibilla Bacoli. Then, on September 10th, the Biancoverdi will return to the "Calise" stadium to host Quarto Afrograd, in a match that could prove decisive for their qualification.

The countdown has begun. Coach Sanchez and his players are working with determination to prepare for the first important matches in the best possible way, aiming to be physically and mentally ready. There's still a long road ahead, but Real Forio appears to be headed in the right direction: a team that's growing day by day, a group that's united on and off the pitch, and a community that can't wait to get back to supporting their players. Real Forio is racing, dreaming, and preparing: the new season is upon us, and the island is ready to be painted once again in green and white.
